The main lodge contains a large communal space that serves as a multi-purpose room for group discussions, presentations, and live arts performances. The space is equipped with a projector for movies and presentations, and seating for up to 30 people.
Life Sciences Lab
A beach view life sciences lab is located at the entrance of the main lodge. It is available for any research or education group to use, and equipped with two stereo dissecting microscopes, stream keeping equipment, water quality assessment supplies, a multiparameter meter, glassware, digital scales and assorted lab equipment.
A large metal/woodworking shop is located in the basement of the main lodge. It primarily serves as a space for maintenance and development of the station’s various facilities and systems. However, it can also serve as a space for students and researchers to carry out their own projects.
