The station provides a variety of accommodations to suit differing levels of immersive ecological experiences.
Pitch a Tent
There is lots of lawn and beach space available to set up personal tents at Cedar Coast Field Station. This is the most quiet and affordable accommodation for those seeking an intimate experience with the natural surrounding environment. Those who bring their own camping requirements will also have full access to all of the station’s communal facilities, including cooking and dining areas, washing facilities, hot showers, toilets, and communal living spaces.
Wall tents will provide a more comfortable and convenient living space, while still offering the sights, sounds, and smells of the surrounding environment. Each wall tent will be equipped with wood decking, a wood stove, table and chairs, dresser and sleeping arrangements either as 4 single beds, or a private double futon mattress. Wall tents will be available from early spring through late fall and occupants will have full access to all of the station’s communal facilities.
The main lodge has 6 furnished bedrooms and sleeps up to 20 people. In addition, we offer comfortable foam mattresses for groups larger than 20 individuals wishing to sleep inside the main lodge. Occupants of these rooms will have full access to all of the station’s communal facilities and living spaces. An outdoor shower house located just above the high tide mark is a 5 minute walk from the main lodge and is available for all of the stations guests and residents.
